Pacific Advanced Technology, (PAT), is a high tech small business specializing in research and development in the area of infrared and electro-optic sensor systems. PAT has been awarded numerous defense related research and development contracts over the years which have allowed for the development of new and innovative technologies in the electro-optic field.  Many of these technologies have been commercialized into products.

PAT continues to work with all branches of the US Defense Department on solving National Security issues by expanding the state of the art in infrared sensor systems. Most recently PAT has been working with Homeland Security to address the need for state-of-the-art products that can support the war on terror.

In the fall of 2004 PAT formed a subsidiary corporation, Gas Imaging Technology, and awarded it with an exclusive license to use the patented IMSS technology to actively pursue commercial markets for applications of the Sherlock gas imaging and analysis system.
